We are Level I Trauma Centre of National Importance which comes under governance of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh. AIIMS Rishikesh is one of the SIX Apex health care institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). Our Trauma System is manned by skilled personnel for all types of Trauma and Critical Care and facilitates for early safe definitive care with firm belief in the principles of 4Á’s i.e. Availability, Affability, Ability and Affordability. The treatment of severely injured is ‘time critical Thus, we provide timely and appropriate intervention to reduce morbidity, mortality, and disability.

Department of Trauma Surgery and Critical Care of AIIMS Rishikesh keep organizing various activities like Mass Casualty Incident Workshop and Drills as part continuous Training Program.

AIRWAY Management course is one of the leading course which is participated by residents/ faculty/ nursing officers/ workers of AIIMS Rishikesh.

World Trauma Day 2018 was organized by Department of Trauma Surgery and Critical care to sensitize peoples regarding Trauma Prevention and Care. We organized Conferences with eminent Faculties and Guests with various other activities like Nukkad-Nattak, Poster competition etc.
